Our Vision

PdxC is an initiative towards a common effort in expanding our community; of welcoming a diversity of voices to the process of design. We are not one dimensional, we are the result of a myriad of influences & experiences, as are the spaces we inhabit. A breadth of perspectives drives radical innovation and initiates fresh ideas.

Our Mission

Elevate the built environment, from our homes to neighborhood shops to the spaces we work in, by collectively raising the visibility & supporting the work of independent designers in the Pacific Northwest. Initiate the introductions that build relationships, spark partnerships & foster collaboration.

Our Efforts

We strive to make collaboration between building professionals and creative makers, artists & art organizations the norm for all scale of projects by committing to the following:

• A comprehensive directory of creative collaborators throughout Oregon & Washington

• Media exposure highlighting the value of multi-disciplinary design though case studies, virtual tours, interviews & press releases

• Resources & educational material on collaborative methods, budget tools & design team management

• Grants & incentives to help foster partnerships limited by budget

• Events, meet-ups, community engagement & social media exposure
